Problem: Businesses for sale are scattered across national marketplaces that bury local deals, so Petaluma and Sonoma owners and buyers have no place that treats the North Bay as the starting point. Solution: Built a local-first marketplace in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind. Search starts around Petaluma and Sonoma with a radius filter, a great-circle distance calculation, and a live geocoding fallback, so any U.S. city works and the radius widens to nationwide. Browse by category from Food & Drink to Online & E-commerce, open a detail page with price, revenue, cash flow, real-estate status, and what is included, and send an inquiry. Sellers use a listing form with an optional confidential mode. Each market (Petaluma, Sonoma, North Bay) gets its own landing page from a single config entry. Outcome: A working single-page marketplace for buyers and sellers, with a storage layer built to swap from browser localStorage to a real API without touching the pages.
